Where is the Love? Why Only the Loving Find Love

Where is the Love

In the midst of all the chaos that surrounds us, and all the sensitivity that seems to engulf almost every human being that walks this Earth, one can’t help but wonder: Where is the love?

Yes! Where is the love?

If love is what we all long for and all that this world needs to go round and round, why is it that we can’t seem to get to that place where love rules over all?

Where is the Love? The Painful Truth About Narcissistic Relationships 12 Good Reasons You Should Give Up Your Self-Importance The Return to Your Divine Nature Do-You-Love-or-Do-You-Fear

“Love is the ability and willingness to allow those that you care for to be what they choose for themselves without any insistence that they satisfy you.” ~ Wayne Dyer

I don’t know about you, but when I look back at my life, I always reach the same conclusion: I was the happiest when I was the most loving.

Not when I was loved, but when I loved!

When I loved, I felt that love we all long for and I was happy. I saw the best in everything and everyone and treated the whole world with the love, dignity and respect it deserves.

But when I began to be more preoccupied with the mistakes and faults of others than I was with loving them — because you see, I got hurt and I had to be on guard, that’s when life began to get messy and love started to slowly but surely melt away, not only from my heart but from the world around me as well.

Searching for love is never the answer

“Those that go searching for love only make manifest their own lovelessness, and the loveless never find love, only the loving find love, and they never have to seek for it.” ~  D.H. Lawrence

If there is one thing the world is good at, that is spreading this erroneous belief that love is to be found somewhere ‘out there’ — in something or someone who has this power over you that you yourself don’t… That is, to make you feel loved and loving.

But that is nonsense.

Love isn’t something to be gotten, nor is it something to be earned. Love just is… a state of being… your Natural state of being. And if you think you need a reason to love, that is only because you do not know who you are, you only THINK you do.

If you want to feel loved, safe, at peace and connected to those around you; if you want to feel what it feels like to look at the world around you and see its TRUE beauty and perfection; to look into a stranger’s eye and recognize them as yourself, you must bow your head to the wisdom of your heart and ask your heart to lead the way.

Only the loving find love

“The heart has its reasons which reason knows nothing of… We know the truth not only by the reason, but by the heart.” ~ Blaise PascaL

There is no need to wait for the world to change. No need to wait until we eradicate poverty, violence, crime, hatred, discrimination, wars and everything else in this world that keeps us from loving.

No need to wait for the world to change before we can experience true happiness. We can have it here and now. And it all springs from our capacity to love. It all springs from our courage to leave behind all thoughts, attitudes and behaviors that are rooted in anything other than love, and just love!

Yes.

If you want to experience true happiness; if you want to know what it’s like to love and feel loved, you must learn to love the world as it is without expecting it to change.

If you want to experience your happiness, to love and feel loved, you must learn to love the world as it is without expecting it to change. You must learn to love yourself as you are, without waiting until you reach perfection.

You must learn to love and accept your family for who they are and not for who you wish them to be, no matter how hard and impossible that may seem. And once you master all of that, you can extend your love to your neighbors, the strangers you meet on the street, and even your ‘’ and the whole world. Because you see, you and I were told to love ‘the other’ as ourselves. And you know why? Because in Truth, there is ‘no other’ except The Self.
